My guest is due to arrive tomorrow however, my son has started itching and has a spot on his stomach. We thought he had it when he was one but I understand if it is mild it can re-occur or come back as shingles he is four.

I emailed my guest and said this is the situation your room is still here if you would like it but I wanted to give you the option of booking somewhere else if you would prefer.

Where do I stand in terms of this?

Will I be charged a cancellation fee?

Where do you stand if it an infectious illness?

If the guest decides to cancel, you can offer to reimburse him for the full cost of the reservation (less Airbnb fees).  Has he cancelled?  If he expects you to cancel, contact Airbnb first to determine if you situation is an extenuating circumstance.  Here's how to contact Airbnb:
