Cleaning services

To AirBnB hosts in Austin: VERY BAD results with GuestPrep -- they are not reliable and I would hate to see anyone else left in an urgent situation because of a very substandard cleaning/prep service! They market themselves as providing "hotel quality" linens and towels, and they stocked my rental with stained and frayed towels that would have been an embarrassment if I hadn't caught it. The also invite the host to provide "presentation pictures" of how we want the place to look -- but then send a crew that is incapable of understanding the presentation.

What we all do is very challenging -- providing an impeccable, spotless, homey environment. I have struggled to find a reliable, quality cleaning service and can't understand why there is such a great need not being met. I'll continue the search -- and welcome ideas and experience -- but in the meantime don't want to see anyone else rely on GuestPrep to their dismay!

Hi @Bobbi12  I am sure your experience with this cleaning company will be helpful to other hosts in your area.  Are you familiar with the Home Sharing Clubs?  Under Discuss, Home Sharing Clubs is located.  I believe there is an Austin Club.   Check it out.

Yes, 100% agreed!! I have just had yet another very unacceptable cleaning from Guest Prep.  There were dirty towels from previous guests, a toilet not cleaned and trash on our kitchen table.  I've complained multiple times and sometimes do not receive a response for another day or two.  I finally asked to speak to a manager and he was less than apologetic.  Please let me know if you find a replacement as it's a hard transition if your property is solidly booked!

Wish I would have seen this before I booked Guest Prep. They are terrible! The cleaning lady couldn't even finish the job by 515pm and I had to kick her out as she made my guests uncomfortable. Thanks for sharing.

DO NOT USE GUEST PREP!
