Co-Host Paid Automatically

Question about Co-hosts; I have one available for when I travel out of town. However, he got paid for co-hosting when I was in town (meaning he didn't need to do anything). 

Is there a way to select specific dates he should be the co-host, or am I going to have to add and remove him every single time?

I have the same issue.  I added my co-host to the listing with an agreed upon payout, but I did not "turn on shared earnings" yet.  He still got paid from the guest that checked in the day before.  I plan on contacting airbnb to resolve this issue, but it seems they should update the functionality to include a date range option for activating co-host services.
