Deposits for Advance Bookings

We have a guest wanting to reserve a house with a 50% deposit.  Is that possible?  Dates of reservation are six months away.  (For now we're reserving the dates for her without a deposit; I would much prefer to get half payment.)  Another guest is ready to book (again six months in advance), but he's not able to put the total payment of $3,600 on his credit card at this time.  If he were able to reserve the house with half payment, that would suit him better.  Does anybody know if AirBNB accepts 50% deposits for advance bookings?

One option is to have the guest book the first half of the stay thru Airbnb and just manually block the rest of the days until such time as you agree that he books the remaining days. He will be charged that 1/2 payment now.

Caveat: breaking the stay into parts could affect the refund policy down the road, for example if a long-term stay gets chopped up into two short term ones. So maybe go with the Strict cancellation policy for part one.
