A friend of mine, is an Airbnb host and one of her guests just left her a review where he complained that the entry door did not have a "security lock" or a "Texas Deadbolt". He mentioned that it was a California law that all lodgers are provided doors with keyless locks that lock from the inside of the room. As I think of it, every hotel room I've been in does have those types of locks so someone with a key, can't enter when you are inside if you have the lock secured. Does anyone know what that code is? I've found CA civil code section 1941.3 which states that there must be a deadbolt on entry doors but I can't find anything that relates to these "security locks" or "Texas Deadbolts". She does have a deadbolt on the door.
