Getting Added to Google Maps

Hi

Does anyone know how to get your place added to Google Maps as one of those little pink bed icons?

Example: 

This is Google maps Australia BTW.

We already have our place set up on https://business.google.com/ and it does appear on google maps, but only if you search for the specific name of our cottage. And then it shows up as a place market, not as accomodation. These other places in pink show up automatically just by browsing google maps in our area. We do get some search traffic from our listing on Google business, but I'm not sure where from.

I can't figure out what is so special about these places and how they show up by default on Google maps.
