Google Calendar For Cleaning Service

I have setup a google calendar for my cleaning service.  I did this by importing the ical link into google calendar, via the link on Google Calendar that says "add by url."

While this successfully loads all bookings into the calendar, they do not update.

ie, this method shows a snapshot of my bookings in that moment, but future bookings are not updated to this imported calendar.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

hmm, someone out there has to have solved this.  I have read through so many threads that my head is going to explode.

I've been thinking of this too...

How about simply taking the email confirmation from a reservation, passing it through a gmail filter (and perhaps a simple script), and then forwarding it to your cleaning service as request for a cleaning on the checkout day?

Guesty provides complex software and "hooks" to do this, but they charge 3%.

I have not used it but others have reported good success.

I personally use vrconnection.com to manage bookings from multiple sources for my listing. It provides among other things a consolidated calendar that I use to feed each of the booking sites. But it provides. Avery powerful back office automation that turns most communications into a single click including notify cleaner button and the ability to have automated email like "remind cleaner 3 days before".

I looked onerooftop which seems to be also reasonably priced offered similar functionality.
