Government ID vs Personal info

I had the additional Government ID set for guests who want to make a booking. Recently I have noticed my bookings slowing down. My listings have a large number of excellent reviews and the price per night is fair. Taking this into account I have removed this setting to see if it makes a difference. Does anyone feel that removing the GID has helped to increase bookings?

I wondered the same thing. I recently found and checked the box for GID. In the meantime, I noticed my bookings have definitely slowed down, which is odd, considering it's nearly the end of summer where I am (in a resort town), and people are booking last minute getaways. I just unchecked the box, so we will see what happens? I'm curious to know what other people's experience is as well.
