I had a guest who booked weeks ago with me arrive on Dec. 3rd. The system said all was well. He checked in, and checked out two days later, not telling us and leaving in the middle of the night or early morning. I have gotten no payment from AirBnb and the system says nothing about hi reservation being cancelled.
This guest booked up my calendar for more than a month, so I think I'm entitled to some compensation.
I really want to know how the system did not pay or alert me to anything being wrong!
Hi @Janice-And-Jim0,
Was this a confirmed booking or an inquiry that you thought was a booking. If it was a confirmed booking, I would call the local Airbnb office. Are you sure the guest checked out and did not go somewhere else for a few days?
I am surprised that you have not received an email from Airbnb indicated the money from this booking is now being depostied in your account. You should go up to the right hand corner of your screen where it has your profile picture with your name @Janice-And-Jim0 and then choose "account settings". Then choose "Transaction History" and see if any payments have been entered into your account.
I would also reach out to the guest through the ABB system or a quick text and see if he is returning. I had guests who rented for over a month and they went home for the weekend every weekend.
Cheers
David

I would consider as Deb and Dave suggested that maybe the guest did not check out but just went somewhere for a few days. This would not be uncommon for someone staying a long time.
If the guest doesn't cancel they are still being charged for the room. So I'd try to contact the guest with a text and ask that you noticed they were gone and was wondering when they will be returning. Then you will have an idea of what's going on. If they tell you they are not coming back contact Airbnb to see what the status is of the reservation.
Your cancellation policy will dictate any monies owed you if they actually did check out.
