Guest has just told me they booked for someone else

I have just had a guest tell me that they made a booking under their name for someone else. I found out when I asked what time she would be available for the key exchange and meet and greet. She said to me "there's something I didn't tell you, I booked it for someone else, I'm not actually staying there". I am not comfortable with this so I am wondering whether I can cancel this without penalty, and not have the cancellation listed in my rating. As I am a new host and don't want to already have a cancellation listed. Since then I have tried to contact the guest, however they are now not replying. They are arriving tomorrow.

Hi William

This is against BnB rules and you wouldn't be covered by their host guarantee. I can understand why you don't want to go ahead with the booking

I would give BnB a call and let them know what has happened and that you would like them to cancel the reservation as the guest lied to you and has booked for someone else.  The number is on your booking confirmation.

Don't cancel  yourself .  You sould  contact Airbnb  asap.  about this issue.

On the confirmation email you will see  a phone nr  that you can call. or  use Twitter @ AirbnbHelp. You are obliged to  know  who is  in  your  home. Also: you should be able  to  keep contact with your guests through email, telephone and Airbnb. That's not possible now.  Keep on trying  to reach the person who booked by using al possibilities:  email, Airbnb chat and  telephone  to ask  for more information  about who is knoming.
