Which guest behaviours make you get annoyed? My case, when I hear "Are you living here?" Or "why are you still here?" after the guest checking in. It annoys me because everything is clearly said in my listing description; "this is 3bd + 2 bath condo, renting out 2 guest rooms + guest bath, the host is living in the master's bedroom with a cat...."
Whenever I hear the phrase, I wish I could smash their heads (kidding), or rudely reply "oh, yeah, because I'm living here, dumb illiterate." (No, I wouldn't say that in real.)
It started happening sometime after this spring. I thought it was because I was accepting new users don't have refferals indiscriminately. But I noticed the airbnb guest user booking interface is purposely designed Airbnb is looked like a vacation house service. There are very little information it could be some one's rooms. It certainly makes new guests confused and Airbnb is responsible for it.
I am so pissed off about this. Now, i recommend them VRBO.vom if they send me questions assuming I am renting out entire my house.
How's everyone thinks about it?
Guests are oftentimes confused, mostly because they are incapable or unwilling to read descriptions thoroughly; the price they (and everyone else pays) for being so lazy and undisciplined.
How exactly is this Airbnb's fault? ? Because the interface is too made-to-order for a 'vacation house rental'? Interesting thoguht.

Have you recently used Airbnb as a guest? The web interface is so simplified and there is very little information what Airbnb is about and what types of housing options are available in Airbnb. They have very little efforts to educate new users. Even I would get confused with it.
@Chihaya0 While you do make it quite clear when reading through your listing description that you live there, I think what may be confusing guests is the use of the word "Private" in your heading. I would remove that if I were you, as well as the "3bdr condo" mentioned further on. Guests don't need to know whether the condo has 3 bedrooms or 6 and I think it may be contributing to the confusion.
I think it would help if you change the title or description summary to something like "2 private guest bedrooms & 1 private guest bath in a SHARED home - host lives on-site" at the top and there will be no room for misunderstanding or confusion.
Even though all the information is in my description and house rules several times, whenever I get an inquiry/booking request, I just reiterate all the key points again - single occupancy private room, hosts live on site, no guest(s) of the ABB guest allowed to enter our home (we are very strict about this rule), we provide coffee/tea/water but no meals or food, one SHELF in the fridge for guest use, simple/light cooking (under 30 mins) allowed, guest MUST clean up after oneself (we do not provide housekeeping/maid service), we recycle and try hard to be an energy-efficient home.
