I signed up for information, but was kind of skeptical about whether my guests would use it, and ultimately think they might prefer to just pay me directly, or use paypal? I could make my own menu for my mini refrigerator, and provide information for them to pay my paypal account, for example. Honor Tab was going to charge a 9% transaction fee to me, and a 9% transaction fee to the guest (from my understanding).
So say I bought some sodas at costco that worked out .25 cents a can on my monthly shopping trip there. I bring them home, and mark up the price so that I can make a profit - say I mark them up to $1. Well, on my $1 price, Honor Tab is essentially going to charge my guest $1.10, and take 10 cents from me. Honor tab isn't providing any special service to me except for some automatically generated marketing stuff that I am going to have to print. Unlike Airbnb they don't guarantee for instance that they would replace stolen items or something like that. So I guess I would just be inclined to make my own version of it? I would be charged ~3% by paypal, but the guest wouldn't get an extra charge at all.
So those are my thoughts.
