I've read some of the community posts on this similar topic but I would like to ask how Airbnb calculates the percentage weekly discount.
I use USD but I really don't think the currency makes any difference in how the equation works...
Here it goes: 2 guests for 9 nights
1 night/first guest fee: $58
Extra guest charge: $10
1 night total for 2 guests: $68
Cleaning Fee: $30
10% discount for Weekly rates
I thought their equations was:
(1 night total) - (10%) x (number of nights)
And then add the cleaning fee.
In my case:
$68 -$7 (10%) = $61
$61 x 9 nights = $549
$549 + $30 = $579 (which would be the Subtotal)
But this is what I see on the left side of the page on the message thread:
Payment
$66 x 9 nights$590
Cleaning fee$30
Subtotal$620
Service fee-$49
You earn$571
Where did Airbnb come up with $66 as a one night fee???
I think Airbnb used to include the cleaning fee charge to the one night fee by dividing the cleaning fee with number days.
Which is rediculous. Adding it to the total Stay Fee would be more accurrate.
Similar thing happened to another guest of mine...
I cannot explain.
Would some one please help me?
