How do I block dates for my personal use?

I use our penthouse in Sint Maarten (#1476064) quite a few weeks per year, as do our children and grandchildren. How do I enter the weeks that need to be blocked without generating an Airbnb charge to me or my familly? I don't want to show it as open then tell folks that it isn't available after they have sent a request to me nor do I want to pay a fee to Airbnb when I am using it.

@Brian113, you can block dates manually. I do it often. Just go to your calendar, click on the dates you want to block, then hit 'Block' and then 'Save'. The days should then be grayed out.

There is no charge if you want to block days.

Hi Brian,

I block dates from my calendar whenever I will be away or have family/friends staying.  You can chose when you want guests staying or not.  There is no penalty for blocking your calendar.

When you click on the first day you want to block you can then drag the side of the cell across other days that week, etc...
