Yesterday I accepted a reservation from one person, on behalf of 3 others, for 22 - 27 August. Within half an hour he informed me he wanted to cancel, would I please return his payments. I informed him immediately he would have to cancel via airbnb, and if he did it a.s.a.p. he didn't owe me anything. 4 hours later, I reminded him to please hurry with the cancellation. He informed me immediately he had done so. Now, 23 hours later, the reservation is still in tact. On my request, he again tried to cancel, but claims he could not do so because the first cancellation was registered. In short: guest claims he has cancelled, airbnb confirms this but has not given him a refund, while I as host am stuck with an empty reservation and a blocked calender. Help!

Contacting Airbnb Via Twitter
I find the second best and easiest way to contact Airbnb regarding any issues I may be having is by using Twitter. Airbnb seems to have dedicated staff who monitor their Twitter feeds and I usually hear back from them within 5-10 minutes of posting my isssue.
Step 1: Log into Twitter
Step 2: Search for @Airbnbhelp and choose "Follow" them
Step 3: Send a Direct Message (DM) explaining your issue and wait for their response. They may ask for information such as your listing but always provide it over DM so it is not public.
3. Calling Airbnb's Customer Experience Line

I just dont seem to be able to contact air B&b via Twitter.
Cancellations for no good reason are inappropriate and costly how do we deal with them?
Had a cat allergy excuse when my listing even has a photo of a cat as the photo ID. (and the cat doesnt use the b&b area)
Obviously their mobile phone wasnt working and that is not my problem - the extra costs are!
Can someone help me?
I had a guy stay for three separate bookings. the last booking was made on the proviso between the guest and me that if my moving house date happened it would have to be cancelled. He was very happy wth this. As it turned out I had to cancel. I asked James to cancel as advised by airbnb and he was happy to but he told me he would have to pay £8 for the privelege. I told him to leave it to me. I cancelled this end quoting extenuating circumstances. Airbnb took the £38 off my then resident guests payment.....Does airbnb pocket this money and if so for what reason or do I have to wait for the dates involved to arrive and then airbnb pays me the fees originally paid to me? I have tried all manner of ways to e mail them but it is seemingly impossible. Can someone please help me
