I had my first terrible guest! (disturbing guest actually, we didn't feel safe in our home during his, thank goodness, brief visit) I feel as though I need to have on hand all documentation regarding this individual. Including the private guest feedback I gave to him after the public review. And, as well as, the information I sent to Airbnb alerting them to these problems. How can I retrieve/have access to this information? Seriously, had this guy been one of our first guests we would have quit Airbnb as we suspect now that he is using an alias and has false credentials.
@Laurie18 I was in a the same situation a few days ago. I left a private message to the guest and airbnb. The same day we were cleaning the house, I found the blanket that I thought was missing. I felt horrible about my review. I frantically called airbnb (patiently waited), and asked to delete my messages (that was just less than an hour after I submitted my reviews). They did deleted everything. I did not think that was possible but I thought I'd try. I thought maybe because the guest hasn't submitted her review yet; right timing. I suggest you call them asap and see, maybe they can still do something about it. Hope this helps.
All the best,
Juris
Hey! Sorry about your bad experience :-((
I am fairly new to Airbnb and try to research as much as I can in order help prepare me for what lies ahead, however, it is uncertain whether you can retrieve private feedback. It is my opinion Airbnb uses these information to help improve future host/guest experiences.
If I was in your position I would contact the support team, they have been helpful when I called on two separate occassions to discuss certain aspects of my listing.
Wish you all the best with future guests!
Why do you need the information that you have provided to AirBnB? I would let them handle any discussions with the guest and steer clear of anything to do with him. I
Best to leave a bad experience behind and not hang on to it or over analyse it.
However if you really feel like you want to keep a record for whatever reason, then you have your review of him, which you can access. I don't know of any way of accessing your private feedback and messages to AirBnB without contact them and asking them to supply them.
It's not a nice thing to have happen to you and fortunately it is very rare. You did the right thing in flagging him to AirBnB and I assume also posting a brief review that will alert other hosts, without going into lots of detail that may or may not be correct - eg alias, false credentials.
