How many pix are too many for a condo (with fantastic view and LOTS of amenities)?

Hi fellow hosts,

not a new question but need opinions: I have 36 pix for my listing ... I know, a lot, but hear me out here 🙂

About 20 of them of the unit which has 3 table options (tucked away, for 2 people and for 4 people) and Japanese panel option (closed, open) so I'm hoping it's not too many.

I have a few pix of the view (which is my biggest selling point) and the several amenities (again, selling point).

At first 36 seemed high to me (but I'm no expert 😛 ), but after looking at your listing, I think the pictures you have are great. If someone gets tired of clicking through them, they'll stop. If anything, maybe cut one or two of the table options out - if you have seating for 4, they'll know you have seting for 2. Beautiful space!

@Julie_Mike0 Thanks for your opinion! I had the 2 people option in there so they'd see a smaller version of the table which gives them more space to move around, as you could see the condo can host up to 4 people but we had to get creative with designing it so there is still space to move around 🙂

I think it's great you took the time to set up your place in different arrangements so guests can see how they can tailor it for their stay! The quality of the pictures is awesome and nothing is repetitive.

I would say post as many pictures it takes to tell the story, but not so many the reader gets board.  Ive seen one host post 54 pictures of a 4 bedroom condo.  Your pictures are great, but at the beginning I couldn't tell if I was looking at 2 beds or if there was a mirror on the far wall. It wasn't until I really studied the listing and got to picture 15 that I saw the room can be partitioned off and you actually have two beds. To avoid confusion you may want to use a different color on the other bed comforter or put something on it so guests can distinguish the two beds. I only say this because I read your posting and your listing  illustration shows 1 queen bed and 1 couch in the common space in a 1 bedroom apartment. We don't see an additional door leading to a seperate bedroom so we are left to believe its just what the illustration shows. I honestly had to keep looking through the pictures to figure it all out and most guests on AirBnB wont take the amount of time I did so make it easy for them....for us.

A few of the pictures seemed to repeat: I counted 3 of them showcasing the lobby,  3 of them showcasing the pool, 5 of them showcasing the volcano, 3 showing the bathroom, while the first 3 pictures all seemed to show the same view of the room. For such a small space I would edit a few of those pictures out and post one showing the set up of the couch that can sleep one or two people. If the couch isn't meant for sleeping I would leave it out of the common space in the illustration.

Thank you so much for your detailed answer, it really helps a lot! Yes, I was debating using the same color covers but it seems more elegant that way (I understand though why you'd get confused).

There are actually 2 pools (indoor and outdoor) but I guess I can take 1 photo out there. There is a ground level lobby and a rooftop guest lounge hence the number of the photos but I can maybe take 1 out there too.

The volcano is the reason why people actually visit so I figured more pictures are needed. Too many? We had a hazy day on photo shoot day so I figured I could post some of the older photos (they were more clear).

Yes, definitely it looks more consistent, but I would add a small basket of rolled towels or a colored throw blanket to let people know these are in fact two seperate rooms.

Unless a guest can find use out of the rooftop lounge such as throwing a party or the resort holds a cocktail reception at night I would edit that picture out.

One great picture of the volcano can say more than 4 subpar pictures.

Just my thoughts.

I'll definitely use the "towel" trick ... except now I'd have to get the photographer back 😞

All the guests can visit the rooftop lounge (I think it's about 3 levels higher than the condo) and they could purchase a small meal there. Not a party but I figured it's worth showing 🙂

As for the volcano pix: it's sooooo difficult to get clear photos because of the high humidity, it's like taking photos in a steam room, especially hazy days 😞 and of course when I'm there or the photographer is there it always happens to be one of those 😞
