Hi everyone,
I have a reservation I have accepted as guest was happy to move forward with all conditions stated. Now payment is pending and guest is considering to bring more people and want to pay 50% now and then the rest when arriving in the house, which is obviously against Airbnb rules.
I would like to completely cancel this request but don't seem to get the option at all. As soon as this person pays this reservation is confirmed and I am afraid this person will cause issues as communication has been weird. Asking for more people to stay etc after accepting my reservation requirements.
Can anyone help me?
Thanks
Naissa
You need to contact AirBnB and ask them to manage this for you - be very firm that you do not want these guests due to the first request which is against AirBnB rules and the second, where you can not accommodate the group.
If the payment it pending it probably means one of two things - either all verification steps have not been completed or there was a problem with their payment. Pending lasts for up to 24 hours - so if you are lucky their payment or verification will fail and your calendar will open again and no penalty to you.
Hello @Naissa-And-Florian0 ,
The reservation under stated conditions will only complete if guest pays full amount within the payment time limit. You have no other options to wait (or contact Airbnb to report strange requests and ask for cancel). Best regards,Emiel
I believe no choice but to wait, the other issues are just 'requests' in which you can say no, and/or won't be allowed by Airbnb. I hear you though, not a confident start with the booking, and if opportunity presents itself to get out of it, you are in luck.
