penalty for cancelation

I thought that safety would be a legitimate reason for cancelation.  I am blocked during the time that the client had booked with me before disclosing that the place of employment would be a very sketchy strip club.  She states that it shouldn't be a problem but my son who is a city cop has had people follow him home.  If they are as bold to follow him why wouldn't I be concerned about my safety and my other clients safety.  My question is it normal for the airbnb to completely block out your time so that you can;t rent to someone else?

What was the reason you gave for cancellation and was it an instant booking? Your best bet would. be to go through customer service and explain the situation to them.

If you cancelled the reservation, your calendar will be blocked. End of story 🙂 In future, if you have safety or other legitimate concerns about having a particular guest, you should always call AirBnB first, explain the situation, and see if they will cancel the reservation for you. This can save you from getting your calendar blocked and from losing your chance at Superhost status.
