How to respond to a review

Hey all,

I just wanted other hosts' takes on how to respond to a recent review, specifically the portion regarding walkability. I also lost a star to location again, although I clearly spell out where we're located and what to expect in terms of transit and walking in the area. Although we are close to wineries and restaurants, we're not really walkable to places due to the rural nature of the roads. I actually specifically note that in the listing, that although things may seem close, walking can be difficult because of lack of sidewalks. I also mention it if people ask how close we are to something, especially wedding venues. 2 kms isn't far to walk, but 2 kms on a dark rural road at midnight with no sidewalks is dangerous.

Here's what they said:

Alexandra's place was the perfect weekend getaway! The pictures are an exact representation of the apartment. It's very clean, and the bed is super comfortable- I actually slept in much later then I intended to on both mornings of my stay! The location is good too, there are great restaurants and wineries within a 10 minute drive or bike ride. *Good to note, you cannot walk to many places from the apartment so plan accordingly. Alexandra was quick to respond to my inquiry/all communication leading up to my stay so we felt pretty comfortable and well informed going into our trip 🙂

Here's my response:

Thanks for your kind words, Barbara! I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the Flat and your weekend away.
You are correct that walkability is an issue in our area. Vineland is a small town, and due to the lack of sidewalks, walking can be a challenge, as we note in our listing. It's typical wine country, with rural roads without sidewalks, for the most part. We are walkable to a few restaurants and shops, which is actually pretty unusual in our area. We hope that as our area grows, more infrastructure will be added to make the walking experience better. The Beamsville Bench is still somewhat off of the beaten path, and that's one of the things we love about it, but as the area grows, so too will the amenities! We hope to see you again as the area continues to blossom.

I don't know that it needs a response. It's not really a complaint, just something to note. If you do respond, I'd shorten it to 2-3 sentences. You don't really need to say anything about your hopes for the future.
