I’d for multiple Non-related adults

Air BnB gets the verified id from the guest making the reservation but I want id for all adults traveling together especially if they are not related.  I have someone who wants to book for himself and two adult friends all sharing the space.  Air BnB has verification for one not the other two.  These are three adult men who don’t speak English and they tried to book for one instead of three.  They want to stay 5 days in this little college town.  Plus all Air BnB gives me for id before I confirm the booking is the screen name and city/state of the person, not their full name.  I’m starting to feel very vulnerable to the criminal element when I get so little and have to trust that Air BnB isn’t being tricked into approving people.

I’ve asked for full id of all three but im still feeling uncomfortable with this reservation.

If the additional guests have profiles, you can see the verification.  However sometimes that verification is scant and does not include a government ID.  I wouldn't count on the Air BNB verification to eliminate "criminal element". You can ask for the ID to be uploaded and/or you can require it at check in.  Some hosts keep a record of the ID and it is a requirement in some countries.

Is there anything else you can do to increase your comfort with accepting guests?  I agree that not being able to communicate due to language barriers is problematic, but you can use the Air BNB messaging system to translate.

Good luck!!

I changed my booking requirements somewhat making it so no one can make last minute reservations and I think I’m going to also make having ID for all adults available at check in.

I should have added the person booking had just joined AirBnB and had no other host reviews.  The reservation was last minute.  The language wasn’t a big issue.  The booking for 1 instead of 3 and no ID for the other two was the issue.  Plus it made me suspicious that three adults want to “see Alabama” by visiting a sleepy little college town.  In any case he cancelled when I asked for ID for the other two.   He never replied when I said I wanted ID for the others.
