I think Airbnb should have softwear to do the translations for us.
@Arlene3 if Airbnb did have a translation facility it would almost certainly use Google Translate in the same way that they use Google Maps. So you might as well copy and paste the Chinese chracters into Google Translate yourself.
Thanks for that suggestion. I just see that some messages are translated and some are not, so the capabiity is there. It seems that Airbnb has deteriorated in services to members and it would be an easy thing for them to help us be a bit more happy 🙂
If you write back and want to translate to Mandarin, make your sentences short and clear. "What time will you arrive?" "Do you have any pets?" etc...
@Arlene @Kelly87 suggestion is good rule of thumb to follow. I would also suggest copying the Chinese translation you get and translating it back into English. I wrote to a Chinese guest saying "that is fine" when I translated it back from the Chinese to English it said "that is a penalty", not what I had wanted to say and would have been confusing and a shock their end. So you do have to be precise with word usage, some words in english can mean many things.
Thanks....I will try... but since I have about 25 guests a month (mostly with different languages, and many Chinese), that will certainly take more than 2 seconds!
