Peter, start by visiting your local Chamber of Commerce or Visitor Center.  They welcome the potential to draw more visitors to the area.  My Chamber of Commerce provided me with lovely folders containing maps, dining info., historical sites, hiking trails, State & Federal Park brochures,

bus schedules, kayaking and boating trips, etc., which I give to my guests.  Hope this helps.
