Hi all! I am wondering if the emails I receive during the day of a guest's checkout are related to when they actually checkout. Does the guest confirm they've checked out, and ABNB sends this email? The email reads "John's group just checked out, so now is the perfect time to write your review." My question is - does this mean John's group has actually left? Since I receive these messages at different times during the morning, I think it could be indicative of departure. On the other hand, I've received the email and then hours later had the guest email me stating they "just" left. Thank you in advance for your help!
They seem to be sent out at random times, often before my check out time and the Guest is still here.
Hello @Reema2,
There isn't an official process for guests to tell Airbnb that they've checked out.
In my experience Airbnb sends those emails at random times on the morning that the guests are due to check out.
I usually get them while the guest is still in my house and always before my stated check out time which is 1pm.
They're not an indication that the guest has acually left, they're more a prompt to consider writing a review for the guest.
I never respond to the prompt to write a review until the guest has left and I've checked the room.
Steve.
