Good morning fellow hosts, hope you all have been well :)
I noticed yesterday that Google search has now started adopting a format similar to Airbnb for displaying homestays. I receive atleast 1 booking per month from Google. Have you create your listing on Google yet?
1. Here's how you can list your homestay on Google: https://www.google.com/intl/en_in/business/
2. Here's how you can instantly create a FREE WEBSITE on Google: https://www.google.co.in/business/how-it-works/website/
I have added my contact number on my Google Business site: https://whistling-palms.business.site/ and have provided a link to my Airbnb listing for guests to check availability and prices and I process my booking via Airbnb. So far it has been quite helpful. I'd recommend to give it a try.
If you have any questions, please let me know, I'll try my best to help :)
Have a lovely weekend! :)
Hi @Colleen, glad you liked my post.
Yes, in most cases, the guests, after having a quick chat and after I explain them the importance of booking through Airbnb, get convinced and book through Airbnb. I am usually skeptikal to take bookings offline unless it's friends or friends of friends.
You should put your contact info so we can email you or more importantly for guests
Do you have someone that can add listings to google maps and optimize
Hey @Rob, right, I have added my contact number to the Google Website. Guests here use WhatsApp messaging or direct calling a lot, hence I have provided my phone number instead of email.
If you wish to speak to me, feel free to DM me here on CC.
I don't know of anyone who can add listings to google maps and optimize, sory.
Has anyone tried this in the US? I first wanted to see what it looks like but could not find a similar page using a variety of search words
That's a great question.
I switched to the US Google Search and tried HomeStays in Sf, that did not yeild any result but when I tried Hotels in SF, I got a similar one. Maybe Google hasn't launched it for HomeStays in the US yet and is currently restricting it to hotels only.
I hope this helps.
