Hi everyone, is there a way to not leave a 500 word review for every guest. Did I miss something?
Best,
Willie
@Stay-0 Sorry, but not sure what you mean. Your last guest review that I can see through your profile was "very kind." Your review of your guest can be as short as you like: the maximum is 500 words, but there is no minumum.
Your review can be any length...There is currently one host here who got a review that comprised of ' . '
and that was it, yes a full stop! Although the system says 500 words is the maximum I have seen reviews here which have considerably exceeded that, sometimes by 100 words or more, so I have a feeling that 500 word limit is advisory and not a physical cut off point!
The main thing is that you leave a review. If you use the review window and post a review you will be entitled to leave a public response to the guest/host review. If you don't review you will not be offered that opportunity.
Cheers.....Rob
@Stay-0, I also don't really know what you're asking - I looked at several reviews you've given your guests and all you've said is 'very kind' for all of them. You can't really get more brief than that! It also doesn't give future hosts an actual idea of the kind of guest they are. 500 words is the maximum but I doubt there'd be many reviews coming anywhere close to that.
Thank you for your responses, it's very kind of you to help a newbie. I've figured it out and realized the 500 words was simply a sugestion. I didnt know that and wanted to play by the rules. so all of your responses were very helpful. Thanks to all, I hope that your listings are well. enjoy your evenings.
@Stay-0 You certainly don't have to write 500 words, but it would be really helpful to other hosts and nice for your guests if you wrote more than "Very kind" for all your guests. This tells us nothing whatsoever, you may as well not even bother to leave a review. Please mention in your reviews something that other hosts can look at to decide whether to host these guests. "XXX left her room immacuate and was a great communicator". "XXX was a pleasure to host. He was held up by transportation issues, so had to check in late, but was great about keeping me updated about his arrival time."
Very kind all for your sugestions. I will keep these in mind. I'm sure that I will have many other questions in the future as well. I think we'ved covered it now. Thanks, Rob and Alexandra!
Cheers!
