Hi
I've had my property listed for over a year now. I've had over 55 reviews, and 68% of them are 5 star, giving me an overall of 4.6. However when I first listed the property I had an initial teething problem with the hot water, so the very initial guests left me with a couple of 2 star reviews at the beginning. The issue was immediately remedied, but even a year on there is virtually no chance that I can ever get my listing to be a superhost status. You would need an inordinate amount of 5 star reviews to outweigh the initial 2 star reviews. It would be far quicker for me to create a new account and re-list the property but that isn't great for any party.
Are the reviews time waited in any fashion, or do old reviews drop off after a certain time?
Kind regards
Dylan
@Dylan131 The "Superhost" calculation is just based on the average Overall rating for the last 12 months. The reviews will remain permanently, but the ratings will have less and less of an effect on your averages as you get more ratings.
Airbnb has really created a monster with this Super nonsense. Why would you want to wipe out an established reputation with 57 reviews, just to restart your hypothetical odds at getting a few relatively meaningless orange pixels next to your name?
Thanks so much for the reply. I'm glad that the superhost is based upon a 12 month window. It does seem far fairer.
Really, put your feet back on the ground. Your place looks nice, your calendar is full, it looks like hosting makes you happy...why you need to chase this "super" ghosts?
