Listing Location

Why is it that some houses in my area can be found by listing the nearest resort rather than the town they are located in? For example, when I search "Hunter Mountain" houses will show up while others that are listed by specific local towns nearby don't seem to be. I would think most would search for rental availability much more often by nearest resort/destination then by specific town name.
