I recently got a 4 star rating for my location!! Why am I confused? Well, because the location of my place was not on the doorstep of the Hotel!!! my guest was attending for a convention. If only I could move my place to suit each guest to make it more convenient for them!!
I provide information on my listing and the map provides an approximate location where my place is.
@Moira21 Unfortunately some guests do not spend enough time reading the description and all other information that hosts put on their listings. A guest once gave me 4 stars for accuracy of my property just because they didnt expect my property to be that big but if they would spend sometime reading my listing description where it is well mention that my propert has 3 floors i am sure they would either give me 5stars for accuracy or not book my place at all. It is a pity that i need to say this but it seems we must all face such guest on Airbnb dont worry and good luck for the future happy hosting.
Thank you for the reply Oomesh. I do understand that some guests don't read the listing info. but if they choose to book and then realise when they arrive how far away they are from the venue I think it is an unfair rating if it goes against my overall rating. I think it should be addressed by Airbnb.

Moira I had a guest who wanted to book last minute and had no place to go as no one would book him last minute. I felt compassion and left my gig early so he wouldn't have to wait. He complained that the location wasn't what he wanted yet I didn't have to approve your booking and you are complaining of location? He also left it in the review. I didn't mention but he had a terrible body odor and you could smell his order
@Samantha153 That's terrible Samantha. I don't think some guests really understand what Airbnb is all about. I believe you have to be a certain type of person to use the accommodation that is advertised. I also have had a guest with terrible body odour and he didn't come out of his bedroom for 2 days. When he did surface he hardly said a word and wasn't very friendly.
I had the same experience.
A guest gave me 4 stars for accuracy because the apartment was bigger than she expected.
The description had that it was a 750 square foot apartment.
Don't know how I could have been more accurate than that!!
Yup. Welcome to the world of customer service. Had a guest give me 4 because he got lost between my house and where he needed to go and even put in the comments that it was not the hosts fault.
Thank you for your comment. I'm curious to know what are the levels referring to under your names? It's marked as level 2 for myself and yours is level 10.
@Moira21 The level that you see in the community under each profile pic is a way to rank how many likes you obtained from the comment you posted in the community in other words the higher level means you obtained more likes Level 10 is the highest rank.
Airbnb likes ranking people for everything. The levels in the community center are based on the number of posts you have received along with the number of thumbs up and answers you provided that were marked as accepted answers. The more you have of each of these the higher your level.

I had a guest give us 4 stars for arrival because they went to the wrong address.
We went out at 10pm in the rain to look for them and bring them in, and they marked us down for arrival.
Why can't we rate THEM for arrival.

Some people are bizzarre! A recent guest gave me four stars because, although he'd had a bathroom to himself during his stay, he knew the next time he stayed he would have to share. So he rated me on a future possibility!
I had a guest say that "check in was difficult" because he didn't write down the door code I messaged to him earlier in the day and he had to ask for it a second time. I answered his message immediately, but he could have just looked at the previous message I sent through Airbnb - the code was right there!
