We have received a high number of 5-star reviews, but a few times I have received a message from airbnb that says we have received "low ratings" in one or another category. Even though this information continues to come up until the reviews are 5-star reviews again, I can never find out anything more about the reason for the low ratings or whether the rating was 1, 2, 3 or 4. How can I learn something valuable from the information?
Unfortunately as it stands, we can't learn anything except that something was marked down. I sometimes peek at my Stats, and if I see 'last 19 ratings were 5 stars blah blah' I know that I didn't get rated down by the last 19 people. But when it says 'Overall, you get blah blah blah', it means that the last reviewer didn't give me five stars on an area (even if the overall was a five star). It doesn't let us know if it's a 1 or a 4. Sometimes when I'm really surprised (ie they loved the location, but then it's clear they didn't rate me a 5 on location), I'll write with an attitude of openness and desire to improve.
i have the same problem as teh guy below: The system says "
3 low ratings last month
Don't be discouraged by low ratings. Finding your hosting style takes time.
But this means NOTHING to me. I look through everything and everyone says great stuff and i have what looks liek all 5 stars. What's up? how do i get any info from this. If airbnb can't do better than this, then why tell me? Thx.
Also, what makes someone level 1, me - -- and someoen else level 5? the number of folks they host? Thx again.
