Making deals with local cafes/bars to get discounts for guests

Hi there!

I don't know if this topic already exists, but I was not able to find it anywhere on this platform.

Anyway, I'm a university student who started renting out a room in my Copenhagen apartment last spring. Things have been going quite well lately, and I am almost never alone in my apartment. I live near this charming cafe, I always recommend my guests to go there for breakfast and they all seemed to have had nice experiences there. Through the past few months I have been sending a lot of new customers to the cafe. Because of that, I sent an email to the cafe, asking them if they'd like to do some sort of collaboration/deal, as an example they could give my guests a 10-20% discount on their breakfast menu. They responded saying that they were interested, but asked me if I had an idea about how we could do it in the most efficient way. I have been thinking of 1000 ways to do it, but I just wanted to know if there are any hosts who always have a deal with local stores and how they do it?

Hope to get some good advice 🙂

I would just xerox a coupon ... perhaps 4 to a standard letter size page which you can then cut., then sign and date it.  If your guest is there for 3 days...give them three with 3  different dates.  No cheating possible.

The cafe collects the coupon and done!
