Why do text messages that I receive from guests only part of the message?

 

I also just sent some info to a guest and they informed me that they didn't receive the entire message.

You may need to read and send all your messages from your Dashboard. Airbnb seems to periodically have communication issues that vary by platform. Try different devices - some issues are device specific.

Hello @Paul-And-Rod0 when I receive text messages from guests through the Airbnb system they are always incomplete.  But I'm able to read the same complete message on the app.  I don't think it's something that Airbnb is interested in fixing.  Just my opinion.  

So, if I have extensive info for the guest I use my PC.   

I do the same thing, Regina.  But itt's annoying to receive an incomplete text and not be near my computer to check out the entire thing. I sure wish Airbnb would fix this.

I have always found the same.  To me, the text is more of a heads-up that a message has come in and to check my mobile app for the full message.

Lately when I respond to messages in my inbox, when you press send message, the message appears just for a like 2 second in the message trail and then disappears altogether with no trace of the message send. This is from laptop running Windows 10 and Firefox as the browser.

When I send the messge from my IPhone 5 it seems to working fine on the AirBNB app.

 

But yeah - the fact that Airbnb only offers a forum to resolve these kind of issues is a bit worrying. Kind of like a you guys help each others, instead of us taking responsibility for our portal.
