Missing items after a few guests have been through

I noticed a few of our nic-nacks of fairly low value were missing today - but we've had a lot of people through here, and I can't say for sure when exactly they went missing.

I'm thinking I'm just out of luck getting them back or getting compensation.  I mean, I can't be messaging 4 guests "did you take this (by mistake)?".  If it was a guest (and where ELSE would they go?), it was only ONE.

I would agree that you are out of luck.

@Geoff22  You say they are of low value- chalk it up to things that have to be replaced from time to time, like worn or stained bedding and towels.

If you are really concerned about things going missing, you will either have to check inventory after each guest, or have your cleaner or co-host do it.

Well, good news.  Someone moved the items to a lower shelf on a side table and didn't move them back.  Why I don't know, but I'm glad to have not lost them.

@Geoff22  I remember another post where the host thought a guest had stolen a lamp, or broken it and disposed of the pieces, only to find it stuffed in the back of a closet for some inexplicable reason.
