I received my new lease (starts June 1st) and the rent increase is unreasonable, I can't afford my apartment anymore and must move. I had a lot of guests booked after June 1st that I had to cancel. I informed them all of the situation, proceeded to cancel the reservations and explained the situation to Airbnb using the "Other" write-in explination.
My question is, how likely am I to have the $50 cancelation fees waved seeing as this was an unexpected situation. Is there another way I can talk to Airbnb about the situation other than a text box? Thanks for the help!
