I have a situation where I need to rent out part of my loft in two time slots/day. In other words, I can rent a morning slot: 9A-2P and another afternoon slot: 4P-9P. Should I create two listings for each slot? If so, can Airbnb sync these dates and times accordingly?
My loft is suitable for film/photo shoots and most companies would only need the limited time. Would appreciate some insight into this.
Hello @Marlon18,
Airbnb deals with nights and single checkins on any one date so it won't support your requirement.
If a listing is booked, it's for one checkin on that date and for that night.
Even if you create two listings , one with checkin at 9am and checkout at 2pm and one with checkin at 4pm and checkout at 9pm and link the calendars, a booking on one of the listings will block the other.

Ok, thanks @Steve143 .
Here's another angle - I may create an experience listing with two slots, and a home for rent listing with one slot. When first of the two slots fill, I will make the transaction with the experience first, that way, the home for rent is the last to be filled since we would get more traffic on that listing. How about that?

Julia, so two house rental listings with 2 slots?
Hello @Julia66,
Yes, if there are two separate listings booking one won't block the other except that in this case both listings would be for the same room. So, because booking one doesn't block the other, @Marlon18 would end up with double bookings and each could expect, because Airbnb is a nights booking platform, that they have full access to the listing for that day and night.
He'd run the risk of the listings or profile being removed when some guest complains to Airbnb that they booked but are only allowed access for a few hours and can't stay over night.
@Marlon18, you could, of course, make it clear in the listing name and description that only slots and not the whole day and night are being booked but we've all read the complaints here that guests often don't see the meaning in a listing title and don't read the description. There would be lots of issuess with telling guests that they're only booking a slot and not a night, as Airbnb is set up for.
Steve.
Hello @Marlon18,
You could try that. So your check in time for the home for rent listing should be after then end of the first slot for the experience listing.
Steve.
It's correct that airbnb would just be for a single day including the night, which doesn't match your needs. Try this platform instead: https://www.dayuse.co.uk/
