I have had a negative experience with a host in Munich. 

I booked at room near Oktoberfest for $600 for the days of Sep 19-23. 

The host realized they made a mistake with pricing and asked me to increase the rate. I denied. 

Then the host cancelled my reservation. 

So I re-booked at the same rate of $600.

The host cancelled again. 

Repeat 2x more. 

The host lost the option to rent for those days.

Upon checking back a week later, I see that AirBnB removed the penalty and the host can offer the same days again.
