No Help from Resolution Center

Hi all, I'm not sure what to do. I received a $3,000 water bill (it is usually $350) as a guest left a tap running. I have asked the Resolution Center to get involved but received nothing back from them in a month and I can find no way on Airbnb to follow up on this. Any ideas please? Thanks, Henry

I can see there will be issues, tricky one. I would not raise your hopes.

@Henry31......Ah Henry, now that's an interesting bit of information.!!!

If you have the details of these guests relationship with the Olympic organisation you could forward all of these details with a claim to the IOC and I feel sure you would have more success following that path for some sort of compensation...not just for the water but any other damage this block of guests caused.

 

Henry I will message details of the water flow meter I described in my first post to you through 'messages'.....It may be that it is not available in Brazil but, here in Adelaide we have to resort to desalinated sea water through a huge desalination plant, because, due to rampant irrigation further up our major river system, the water does not flow here in the summer any more, households are urged to take what ever steps they can to reduce consumption. We are given government incentives to harvest, and store, our own water, and yet we still pay less than $2.20 au per kilolitre (270 gallons)! Our prices do increase on a sliding scale with additional use, but nobody pays more than $3.15 per Kilolitre.

Henry please keep us informed as to the progress of you claim, we are all with you on this...cheers....Rob
