One of my friends who is also a host in AirBnB has faced a recent issue related to credit to his account. He got his first booking from AirBnB long time after is listing is created. After the guest has left he is not able to identify the account to which the payment is made by AirBnB. On loggin in to AirBnB to check the payout options, his is able to see only the last four digits of the account number. He says he does not have an account ending with this four digits. He suspects some malpractice in this.
Can you please let me know how can we get the full details of the transaction from AirBnB including the full account number to which the credit is made and the Bank name to which the account belongs.
No way will full bank account details ever be disclosed to a host.
First port of call is to enter the airbnb account in question, click on 'settings' then 'security' and review login history to check if there is any suspect activity of login or changing accounts.
If there is, passwords and bank details should be updated, then call airbnb support.
Thanks Elena for the information. It is surprising that that details of payments are not disclosed to a host even if the host can validate his identity.
