Personal touch for guests who book over the holiday

Hello Fellow Hosts!

I would like to leave a special gift to my guests who stay at our home during the festive holiday and New Year's Eve. In the spirit of the festive season I thought it would be a nice, warm gesture to leave something in the flat for them 🙂 Have any hosts given gifts to their guests, if so what have you done before?

Thank you!

I have given all sorts of little things, bath salts, wine, chocolates, books. A good way I have used in the past was to string up a line with tied on presents in a row, one for each day of December with a number for the date on, like a calendar. Then as the days go by, each guest can open the numbered days for them. I need to start thinking about December as well! If I had any unbooked days in the time of Dec, I would do a dummy wrap just so the line was still full as it looks better.

Like Sandra I always leave a little gift anyway they love fruit nibbles water wine maybe that can go wrong if they are teetotal but a posh bottle of water and I always leave a glossy magazine tailored for the guest

I don't do religious gift as you have no knowledge of their faith that can go wrong but a lovely host gift is very welcome if they fly then liquid soaps and stuff they can't get into their hand luggage .my last guest went to 6 soccer matches here ( three with me) so he went home with my clubs flag as a gift and he gave me his own club scarf as a goodby

Hi Cristina & Daniel,

You can buy a dozen balloons filled with helium and tie ribbon to the balloon. On the other end of the ribbon tie a card.

On the card you can write something like "Best wishes in 2017 Julia!" or "Happy New Year Blagoje;)! You can write something funny like" Lucky you! All my previous guests who have stayed at my place on New Year's Eve, their wishes came true in the next year. 🙂

Happy hosting!

What would you like to receive in a trip?

maybe something typical from your town.

I'm from Mexico so i always give them a small bottle of tequila, bags of instant coffee, bags of tea, and fruit.

the quantity depends on the number of people and number of nights they stay.
