We have a listing for a shared house with the premise that it is not always dead silent. We try our best and actually haven’t had any complaints.
We have a couple staying currently who are complaining they can’t sleep due to the heater being loud and on at night. It is fairly cold here currently and the heater is a normal white noise like you would find in any house.
I am am concerned about receiving a bad review over something so silly. Any advice?
So the couple prefer rather being in the cold then having some white noise from a heating system ?
Explain to them the options they have and maybe even you can find some temporary solution to limit the noise ? Otherwise simply wait for the review and give a professional public comment on it when neccesary. Some people simply can not be pleased, it's part of the business....
@Nikki171: We leave a little batch of earplugs in our Airbnb for guests. You might want to try the same. At least if you have someone else that the sound bothers you can tell them to shove it in their ears.
