Possible Bad Review.

I just had a guest with her family in my apartment. she was pretty high maintenance from the begining with questions and requirements.

I have usually 5 and 4 stars in ratings and everybody is happy with the place but;

rigth before they were arriving while we were doing the cleaning I realized the previous guest broke one of the levers of the faucet and I had not chance to fix it in the moment. I said I will fix it in monday. they had water on the hot side, its the beginning of winter and they tell me is cold in the aparment, when I check with the superintendent the building has problems with the boiler and they are trying to fix it.

Happens also there was a dog barking at night somewhere, and they said they were goign to find another place if the situation didnt improove the next night.

as soon as they told me it was cold sunday night I took three electric heaters to the place and also fix the faucet as I said on monday.

the heating came back, they were happy with the electic ones I left, faucet, and the dog didn't bark again.

everything ended OK and  I did as much as I could to make them happy. but I can tell she might leave a not great review, I dont know if there is a way to avoid it.

Any ideas?

In your situation I would have given the guest flowers, chocolate, wine or a small discount but too late now.

It depends on the guests - however accommodating you are, they can still sting you.

I would wait and see what she says in the review and then respond accordingly.

Write them a bad review- for being too demanding.  Make sure that you mention in your review that they would have been better suited for a hotel with maid service.    Deborah
