It is a bit more complicated. The guest gets a confirmation email which includes the key facts (dates, price, number of guests and so on), the phone number, address and map and picture of the listing and a link to the house manual (clickable). So the guest has enough in their hand to find their way there (and particularly to read from their phone) and the means to find out the rest.
I help out by sending a more detailed email to my future guests asking for their phone numbers, real email address, arrival times and so on. Most of them ignore it though!
My view is that Airbnb has it about right. Most guests want enough but not too much.
