Putting off a request to book

Oh man, I feel a little bad about asking, but... we had blocked off every day this summer in favor of friends and family coming to visit. I just unblocked the next two weeks before and after Memorial Day, because I know that no friends or family are coming. Very shortly after I unblocked the dates, someone wrote requesting to stay the weekend of Memorial Day. That makes it very unlikely that I will get anyone else (for the Mon-Fri. before or after). I would very much like to have someone stay for at least a week.  Can I delay my reply a while and hope for a longer reservation?

@Susan1108you can decline this request but make sure you set minimum stay for this period so no one will be able to book less . You can also set days when checking in and check out are not possible

@Susan1108 You can wait for 24 hours only before you either accept or decline. But other people cannot book the days spanning over the memorial weekend either because the memorial weekend is blocked by the pending request. You may just take @Branka-and-Silvia0 's suggestion to decline.
