Hello. I am a new host.
I received a payout from Airbnb after my guests checked in.
After 2 days I got another payouts with the same amount and that happened again in another several days which make the payout for the same reservation tripled.
Where should I report this and how can I return these amount?
Did this involve the guests or take more money from them by any mean?
@Long73 Wow, that's the first time I ever read of that problem! Hosts are always posting about not receiving their payouts at all.
Contact Airbnb customer service directly to find out what's going on. There's obviously a glitch somewhere. But just make sure they don't claw back all 3 payments so you end up with nothing !
Yeah. Several hosts in my area are having this issue too. I'm wondering if this is a regional error.
Yep. That's a new one. There must be a glitch in the usual "glitches"..
"Dear Airbnb, All the hosts in my area have been receiving multiple payments for the same reservation. So we've decided to send the extra payments to some of the hosts who've been waiting for months for payments for competed stays. We know you'll appreciate this as a fair, community-minded solution to your ongoing payment glitches."
🙂 🙂 🙂
Hm. This doesn't explain my case where I haven't encountered any delay payout at all.
Also, who send this email and to whom?
I just got some answer from my regional communities that they will subtract those mistaken payout on future reservations.
@Long73 I was totally joking, not really suggesting you send a message like that. There have been so many posts on this forum from hosts who have been waiting for months to get paid for their reservations and Airbnb just tells them it's some glitch, or that there's something wrong with their payout method, but it never gets fixed and they're not getting paid.
I've been reading this forum for 2 years and yours is the first post I've ever seen saying a host has been overpaid.
I though you were quoting from some source
@Long73 I figured you'd get that it was just sarcasm, because I put the 3 smilies below. But things can always get misconstrued on a forum, sorry.
Lol its ok. I was just taking it so seriously.
