I had a guest who inquired at 10:49 am for the same day. It was accepted at 2:10 and reservation was confirmed at 2:11. I turned down someone who wanted the unit around 6:00 telling them I had a guest coming, he never showed or canceled. Next day received email from resolution center with message from guest saying that "he did not receive message and could not make it".
Should I refund guest? I don't think so because guest did not cancel. Even if guest did not receive message, should he have withdrawn request? I've been told to just refund so that I won't get any "bad press". What do you think?
Hi @Maria2436 ,
It is not your fault. There is a confirmed reservation. So guest has to cancel it (and if guest did not received the confirmation, Airbnb must handle the case). So the guest should contact Airbnb and together they should resolve the problem. Guests not showing up should also not be able to leave a review.
Best regards, Emiel
Nothing to refund here.
@Maria2436 No refund. And per the CEO if a guest has not entered your home they can not review.
