Refund

My policy is strict. A confirmed gust cancelled the night he was to arrive while I waited for his arrival. I presumed he was not refunded. I just got a message about money being sent to me for another reservation and it seems that airbnb has deducted the payment that they made to me for the cancelled guest. Is this correct?

With a strict policy, a guest who cancels on the day will not be refunded and you will be paid in full. You will only be penalised for cancellations if you were the one cancelling. So no, it doesn't seem correct at all.

@Simone86  If you agreed with the cancellation you will be penalized as if you initiated the cancellation. Your profile reflects that YOU cancelled Jordon in August.

Linda, thanks but I don't understand how. I still have the email they sent me stating that the guest cancelled and was refunded $0 because of my strict policy. I did find snotjer email offering assistance seeing that I cancelled. Something isn't right

Contacting Air BNB through Twitter should help clear up the confusion.  Good Luck
