Does Airbnb ever go around the cancellation policy? I have a woman who booked and then cancelled because she won't be getting her passport on time. Then she said her child's passport won't be on time either. I got the sense that the second problem was really a plea for clemency--she was asking for a full refund even though I have a strict refund setting and can still earn half.
I told her I would refund her if I rebooked. They are due to arrive in about 2 1/2 weeks and it is a middle of the week booking. She has gone to the resolution center and asked for a complete refund, which I denied. I just restated my position, saying that if I could rebook, I would refund her.
Does Air ever go around this? I don't think her reasons are very good. I mean, if she booked travel, she must have understood she needed a passport.
