Refunding a guest

I have had a guest cancel and I want to give them a full refund as they had only just booked and it was an honest mistake. I cant see any way of giving them the full refund, I can only see how to give them a special offer which is not what I want to do. Can someone tell me how to do it?

Hello @Margie20,

 

I see that you have a strict cancellation policy.

If the guest cancelled more than 7 days before checkin then Airbnb will refund them 50% of what you charge minus the Airbnb fee.

So you can refund them the other 50% + the Airbnb fee if you wish. Airbnb will charge you the amount that you refund.

If they cancelled within 7 days of checkin then Airbnb will not refund them anything so you can refund them the full amount.

 

To send money to a guest find their reservation in "your reservations" and click on "Send or request money". Then choose "Send money" and follow on from there.

Thanks for that info. I cant refund the guest as he doesnt come up on the 'send money' list. Im assuming that is because I havent been paid yet and I would have to wait until that has occured? Cheers Margie
