Refunding partial payments?

We are new airbnb hosts.  Our second guest made a two night reservation but had to cancel and requested a full refund.  Because we had been out of town we had to contract for housekeeping services who charged extra because of the rush.  We're willing to refund 50% of our receipts ($72.50) but not sure how.  Also, we have not seen the deposit in our account as yet!

Hey @Cliff0 I took a very quick look at your listing, and your cancellation policy is set to Flexible.  Yuo can go to the HELP section to see what that means, and change it if you want.  Most hosts don't offer such a policy, there's no protection to you.

 

You should also take a few minutes to read what happens in a cancellation - you yourself don't have to do anything at all.  The guest has to cancel, not you.   This is a super important part of hosting and it's worth feeling comfortable about how cancellations work, so very good to go through the FAQ's in the help section.
