Iam a host and have just received a booking inquiry from a traveler. This traveler wants to arrange a viewing in order to confirm the resevation. This traveler can not exchange nos to arrange viewing. Can the traveler pay a deposit to secure a booking so that he or she can exchange contact with me as host to arrange a viewing? If so how much deposit can the traveler make?

its not possible to make a deposit for such a case.

Unless this was for a long-term situation, I would avoid doing this. There are a lot of red flags. If they are just traveling through, how are they going to be around to see the listing? If they can't make up their mind based on the description and photos, they're likey to be high maintenance.
